Day 2 of judging in JJ and Raheja

The day started early in JJ. Nothing better than a plate of batata wada and a cup of chai from the canteen to refresh the mind. Gangadharan Menon, Sunil Mahadik and Sachin Puthran entered the historic assembly hall that has produced world class Communication Designers. It was time to select some fresh minds with innovative campaigns.

Gangadharan and Sunil started with a quick review of all the panels. They shortlisted the entries and then Sachin quickly databased the shortlisting with the help of the professors. ' Cag likes it' tags were set on the most promising work.

A quick drive to Raheja, Bandra brought us to the school that has produced brilliant artists n designers. The jury met up the new Principal and then proceeded to Judge the panels.

This brought us to another day of fruitful visits in identifying the next gen talent of India.

Meanwhile the students of Rachana Sansad were quick and prompt enough to send their artworks for the Cag website. The enrollment volunteers in these 3 colleges have also done a fab job by listing around 300 Communication designers to preview the Cag website.

Cag Jury Visits Rachana Sansad

Dear Students

The Cag Jury represented by Gangadhar Menon and Sunil Mahadik, visited Rachana Sansad on 15th February 2011. The panels were all set by the students and the jury first took an overview of the projects that were executed by the final year students of Applied art of Rachana Sansad.

After a great deal of interaction with teachers, the jury set itself to shortlist the best students fbased on innovative thinking, communication design and presentation. Cag also initiated the 'Cag likes it' tag features that allows the shortlisted students work to be identified with a unique logo.

Sachin Puthran as a new committee member of Cag, was seen with his Ipad, recording all the shortlisted entries onto the Cag Awards database almost instantly. Cag with its digital version will showcase the award winning Young Cubs on March 24th.

The students who were shortlisted very overwhelmed on seeing the Cag Likes it tags on their panels. These students were then given guidelines for Digital submission of their selected entries.

The faculty of Rachana Sansad were very cooperative and offered their best hospitality to the jury. The Jury was happy to see some really good work from the students.

Coming up next on 18th Feb, is the visit to JJIAA and Raheja Bandra. Followed by Sophia College on 23rd.

Cag wishes all the students all the best. Cag also requests all creative professionals, students, Institutes and agencies to enroll into Cag Digital initiative.
